Built in the 1820s, Western House provides spacious and luxurious living. The house, with two separate annexes; The Garden Shed and Flat, comfortably accommodates 25. Western House is roomy enough for guests to be able to get together communally in the splendid width-of-house Drawing room, in the immense kitchen, or in the outdoor eating areas and gardens.
The Drawing Room has a boudoir grand piano and woodburner, great for sing songs in front of the fire.
The Morning Room is a quiet and sunny space ideal for playing cards, with a well stocked bookcase.
The Dining Room has two spacious dining tables (seating 22) and provides an elegant venue for a special occasion.
The professionally equipped and spacious kitchen is the heart of the house. The warmth of the AGA, summer as well as winter, adds a comforting glow to the room, and numerous guests can stand around the central island worktop or relax at informal breakfast tables.
A stay at Western House provides exciting leisure facilities. There is a large indoor heated swimming pool and a sun deck just outside. Indoors, there is a games room with three quarter size snooker table which can also be used to play pool, table football, darts and toys and games. In-house entertainment includes televisions, DVD player and CD player.
Outdoors, the gardens are simply beautiful, full of specimen plants and shrubs, mature trees and a beautiful lawn for lounging. There is a large decked barbeque area with two gas barbeques and outdoor seating for 25. A large pond attracts wildlife, with an island house for resident ducks.
